Recently it completed a job using RSView32 at an aluminum extrusion plant for visualisation and data (order) handling of the whole pressplant, from logstore to packing. The application also included continuous data concept, data flow from commercial system to PLC, automatic order control/parameter setting for the whole plant and central alarming, which also utilised RSView32.

At a large dairy processing plant, RSView32 has improved the way operators and maintenance personnel control their ice cream and beverage processes. Previous operator interfaces were limited to single line data displays and physical pushbuttons and switches. With RSView32 the process piping, valves and pumps are clearly displayed, which in turn allow the operator to easily troubleshoot alarms. Manual and automatic device control provides maintenance personnel with a means to test any device. Process setup screens with data validation, clean-in-place screens with current step interface, and system parameter screens, which allow secured access to key process parameters in their PLC, were also provided. The success of this project prompted the customer to upgrade two other processes in the plant to RSView32.

Recently STS completed a major data acquisition project for the world's second largest commercial carpet manufacturer. The project incorporated multiple Rockwell Software products including RSSql, RSView32 Active Display System, RSLogix5 and the latest version of RSLinx. The project consists of a facility-wide, thirty three-machine network, which monitors and controls each parameter related to this particular customer's machines. It is estimated that the customer will receive a return on its investment in just ten months.
